The week in photos: February 19 - 25 2018

Photo of the day: 21.2.2018

Ok first of all, I have not abandoned my blog.
I've mentioned in last week's "the week in photos" that I wasn't well.
And that kept up, so I ended up going to my family doctor (well, replacement as my regular one is currently on maternity leave) twice.
First on Monday, when he thought I had bronchitis, prescribed me inhalers and was pretty confident that would be that.
It wasn't that, so I went back on Thursday, where he found out the situation had gotten worse and he drew blood for an emergency test.
Result: pneumonia.
I've already taken one series of antibiotics, but it's still no better, so I'm guessing this is a stubborn case of walking pneumonia, which I've had before. I'm going back tomorrow, but yeah, not feeling well AT ALL.
So my lack of posting has nothing to do with me being tired of blogging (I'm not) and everything with me simply not being up to it.
Simply writing this has really taking it out on me, so I'm just going to leave you with 7 photos, Monday to Sunday, in that order, of my cat.
Most of them snapshots from when he was sleeping in the sofa next to me, during times I wasn't sleeping in bed.
Normal service will resume when I'm feeling better, whenever that may be, sadly pneumonia is quite serious so it could take a while :(.

Comic Con Brussels!

Blog header

Last Saturday, Bert and I got up far earlier than we usually do for a convention (6am) because we wanted to be there at opening time.
Mostly because I wanted to see the Lightsaber battle demonstration.

We picked up Lora at her place, and spend some time petting her adorable bunnies Fiver and Lukka, and asking Tom what he wanted merch wise so we could help Lora look.

I wrote a proper review on The Gatehouse here, this is just my run-down of the day. And what a fun day it was!

Review: Too Faced - Unicorn Survival Kit

Blog header

You may feel like this is coming way too late, but I didn't actually get my hands on this 'till the very tail end of last month.

I feel like a review of this is still relevant for two reasons:
1. The Unicorn Survival Kit is still available on the Too Faced website, discounted even.
2. Two of the products are available in single and full size and the highlighter is coming back in two products from the Life's a Festival collection that is released on the website later this month.
So this may help you decide whether or not you want to get something from that.

If you want to know more about this, follow the unicorns...

Louvain with Marie

Blog header

Another catch-up post, but not quite as far back as my Planckendael with Charlotte post.
This is also the last of the catch-up posts, I am all caught-up with this one!

Just before the end of 2017, on Saturday the 30th of December, Marie and I met up in Louvain for Starbucks, shopping and lunch.
Seeing Louvain is right about in the middle between both our home towns, Marie and I tend to meet up there.
Because frankly, if we can have lunch together, get a drink at Starbucks and maybe look at a few shops, we are perfectly happy so might as well make it easy for ourselves and avoid someone having to take two trains!
Now all Louvain needs is a Hard Rock Café and it'll be perfect!

Catch-up post: Planckendael with Charlotte

Blog header

This post is such a total catch-up, because it's about the visit to Planckendael with my BFF Charlotte.
Which happened on Thursday, the 19th of OCTOBER last year.
Shame on me, but hey, better late than never.

Here be animals!
