Loa inspecting the botched portrait I drew of him that morning.
As you can see, not all my attempts at drawing stuff work out, but hey, c'est la vie!

My friend Sophia sent me a hard copy of her band, Season of Ghosts' latest album.
Because Loa cat posed with the first album, years ago, I felt he should do it again :).

Off to Antwerp with my friend Claire :)

We had purposely met up today because it was the release day of the new Uniqlo U collection and there was a short raincoat I really, really, REALLY wanted to get my hands on.
In brown.
When I was in Antwerp with Bert last Saturday, a staffer at Uniqlo swore up and down and said it was 100% guaranteed they would get the entire U line in on release day.
Guess what, the coat I wanted was NOT in stock.
And when I got home in the evening and turned on my laptop (which was pretty much the first thing I did), the brown colourway was SOLD OUT in my size.
So I got it in black, and had to pay express shipping because I need it next week.
Basically, I missed out on the colour I REALLY wanted because Uniqlo staff thinks it's ok to lie to customers.
Because, btw, the website also clearly stated the collection would be available in select stores, amongst which Meir (the Antwerp city one). So I was lied to by both the website and to my face in store.
Clearly, putting my NO MORE UNIQLO rule aside just to get a raincoat (that kind IS amazing though, else I wouldn't have bothered) was futile, and this has been the LAST thing I bought from them.
On the upside, they stopped asking for a bunch of info they have zero business with, so I think because of all the drama they are now GDPR compliant (took them long enough).
Also: if you don't want to have to leave all sorts of data, check out with Paypal and you'll only have to leave your name and address and email and nothing else :).
But yeah, GDRP compliant up or down, they company still sucks because the way they treat their customers is without any form of respect and they just care about making sales.
They seem to live in the deluded idea that if someone travels down to the store for a specific item, they'll leave with something like it anyway, even if it's not exactly what they wanted.
Think again Uniqlo, think AGAIN! Actually, no, just start thinking and stop being so shite.

Aside from all the BS with Uniqlo I had an awesome day, though! :)

Found this old school Launchpad McQuack toy at Mekanik Strip yesterday. I already owned the modern day NewDucktales version, so obviously I wasn't leaving this one behind. Especially as it was only €12,50, which is very reasonable for a collectible Disney toy :).

Baby Groot and the Orbitron pin.
I got the pin off etsy, and it's not an official Disney design but who cares, it's awesome!
I am not linking to the listing though, because mine took over a month to arrive. And when I left a seller a message because I thought it got lost, he didn't reply. I ended up opening a paypal claim out of sheer misery, which I of course closed the second the pin did arrive.
Then it still took the seller about 2 weeks to leave me a message on etsy, and I'm sure you understand that by then I was seriously DONE with the situation. So yeah, gorgeous pin, would NOT reccomend the shop, because customer service is at level zero.

  1. Aw you said that not all your work turns out well, thats a lovely pic of Loa it might not be what you wanted but it's still nice.
Im sure Loa appreciates it :D and if not i'm sure he likes the new ink you have on your arm, it's very, very nice and a great way to being the countdown to Halloween (260 days as of today.

I like the blanket thats the background for Launchpad McQuack, is it Dr. Who associated ? Or am i just looking into it too much

    1. Thank you! That's very kind of you :)
Loa is AVOIDING my arm like the proverbial plague. When Shinto was alive she once scratched (completely by accident as lizards can't retract their claws) a tattoo that was healing and it left a tiny scar. But he got so frightened to mess one up he just avoids those areas off my body 'till they're healed.
I think he can smell the healing process going on? I don't know, but he's certainly very considerate :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one that is permanently counting down to Halloween! :)

It's not really a blanket. Both that one and the map one I use a lot are shawls I made out pieces of cotton. I like using quilters cotton and I get most of it at equilter.com). But as they are so big, I like using them for backgrounds :D
It just looks Whovian as a happy coincidence, but it was in the steampunk section I believe (I got it absolute AGES ago).
