Oceania, travels through the immensity

Blog header: expo Oceania

Yeah I feel the name is kind of pompous too, but it's the Cinquantenaire museum, so I can forgive them that.
Generally, I absolutely love exhibitions at the Cinquantenaire. It's hands down my fave museum, and whilst they are very much an underdog (completely unjustified), they generally put up expos of the same level of those you see at the British Museum. I've seen big international museums (looking at you Centre Pompidou) do a worse job than I've ever seen the Cinquantenaire do, 'nuff said.

Unboxing Aly's give-away!

Blog header

A while ago my friend Aly did a giveaway via her blog and instagram account, in which I participated. And ‘lo and behold, I won!
So happy about that, thank you again for hosting it Aly!
Yesterday, I got the package in the mail, and after Loa cat had helped me unpack everything (and proceeded to steal the box, even though it was too small for him) and afterwards he “helped” me taking photos.

This is very much a first impressions, because obviously I’ve only had these products since yesterday and haven’t had the chance to properly use and/or wear them yet!
There’s also a few I haven’t touched yet, because I already have a product of the kind in use and I want to use that up first.
So you’ll probably see several of these pop up in faves posts throughout the year!

Let’s dig into this!

A note on M.A.C pigments

M.A.C pigments photo for the blog

Before I bought a full sized pigment from M.A.C, I had already purchased two sized to go pigments in store. Chartreuse and Tan.
They were in the standard sized to go packaging (mostly clear plastic).
Now, with my full sized pigment (Pure White) there was a little note in the packaging, listing all pigments that are in fact NOT safe to use near the eyes and/or mouth and which are extremely flammable.
(Gosh, it's really been a week where M.A.C DISAPPOINTS it seems!)

So for those that only own sized to go pigments, or are thinking about buying a M.A.C pigment full stop, I'm sharing that information here.

Why I won't online order from an Estée Lauder company again.

Photo of the day: 10.1.2017

And why I'll avoid anything shipped with UPS, also, but at least they came through in the end, whilst M.A.C has been disappointing AF.
This is what happened.

Disney in Concert

Disney in Concert

Just after the Christmas madness, it was time for Disney in Concert
The organisation had been so kind to put Bert and I on the guestlist so we could come and enjoy the concert, and write a review for The Gatehouse (already up!) and BCM (not up yet).
So off to Brussels Expo we went for the Flemish/Dutch version on December 27th, last year.

January flashback favourites

blog header

I'm still continuing flashback faves this year, because I find it interesting to see how I feel about my past favourites.
It really helps me decide what to buy next because it shows what I still own, still like or love or stopped using and liking full stop.
So click to see what's happened to my 2017 January faves.

Happy new year!

Photo of the day: 1.1.2018

"What do you mean, it's the year of the dog?! This does not please me!"

Loa cat's grumping aside, I wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope 2018 will be absolutely wonderful for you!
