There was actually a lot of steampunk (and other things too, obviously) going on this week.

We got a box of Royce champagne chocolate at UNIQLO in Antwerp yesterday. They were giving a box away with every purchase for Mother's Day. It's a good promo for Royce, who are now semi across the street from UNIQLO.
I actually liked these a lot. Normally I frown upon Japanese chocolates, but these were really nice. I would definitely repurchase a box. The little spatula thing to divide the little cubes is also a super practical SFX tool, so I could definitely stand to get some more of those. I'll just have to eat more chocolate I guess :D.

Not a photo, but a fanart drawing I did for Bert. He's super into Adventure Time, and even has an Adventure Time tumblr and twitter account. Aside from that he has a lot of Adventure Time content on his instagram also, and I try to make him a little something once a week. Normally it's on Friday (Fanart Friday), but sometimes it's on another day.
Like today, because it was International Cat Day, so I drew Timmy, Bubblegum's cat with PB (princess Bubblegum) and Finn.
It's pink fineliners from a HEMA set Babs gave me ages ago, pink from my BIC multi-pen/biro (depending on whether you're in the US or UK :P), a pink Derwent Colorsoft pencil and pink Letraset pro-marker on Flying Tiger Copenhagen watercolour paper.
It's just a quick doodle because I didn't have more time, but hey, it's a thing :).

We went to Planckendael Zoo, where they had this LEGO exhibit strewn throughout the park. Some of the pieces were really cool. And because the weather was nice, most of the animals were out. I'm going to do a proper post about it soon :).

We went to Olen Shopping to go to Albert Heijn and pick up some things. But then we noticed that a Maisons du Monde opened where Van Gastel used to be.
I absolutely ADORE Maisons du Monde, so of course, we HAD to check it out. I would seriously not mind having an amazing clock like this, but alas, no room!

Bert and I went to Elftopia, a Fantasy fair not too far away from Ghent, on castle grounds of Ooidonck castle. It was good fun :).
But like most things (Atsusacon, the zoo), a proper post will be following later (I know I'm a bit slow, but I've gotta find the time to edit, which I don't really have as I'm also learning how to drive, next week when Bert is going back to work, I'll have more time during the day again so expect a regular blogging schedule starting somewhere next week again).
Anyway, some of the steampunks at Elftopia had the most AMAZING accessories, like this guy! Him and his girlfriend are legit some of the friendliest people in the scene that I've met at events!
Also: a total shout-out to the organisation of Elftopia because they are ace folk!
