Toothpick through the skin.
Super basic sfx, but as you can tell from the photo, it is still crucial to use the right products.
For instance, Snazaroo fake blood looks REALLY fake, and NYX setting powder has the WORST flashback, making the scar wax stand out horribly. When it comes to fake blood my hands are tied due to allergies and availability (and not wanting to use GMO ridden corn starch to DIY), but I really should have reached for my Too Faced setting powder instead of the NYX one (what rubbish that is!). Btw dear readers, the NYX SFX setting powder is just as shit as their regular one, do yourself a favour and invest in a really good one if you're serious about SFX (and reach for that when you have it!).

Normally I am REALLY against any other holiday before Halloween, BUT, in light of the entire "black Pete should be cancelled because he is racist" drama some PC idiots like to dig out every fucking year, I would like to give a shout out to Generous and their Sinterklaas gingerbread packaging.
FIY, there is nothing racist about black Pete, his face is black because he's constantly going through chimneys. It would be like saying the chimney sweeps from Mary Poppins are racist.
Black Petes are actually of all races and genders, so people going all PC BS over something so culturally embedded in the Belgian and Dutch culture REALLY rubs me the wrong way.
Especially because it's super inclusive. Every year when there is the big Sinterklaas thing in Antwerp, you see male and female Petes on the streets, and several of them aren't white.
So yeah, leave poor Pete alone I say.
And good on companies like Generous for sticking it to the PC crowd!

Charlotte arrived today, and what better to make your skin happy than a mask! I actually really liked the blue mask from Sephora, it made my skin feel very pepperminty. That probably makes no sense, but it was very pleasant and I would really recommend this mask.

The fact that this vampire Fanta, which is supposedly apple and cherry flavoured, tastes just like French cherry coke worries me.
Then again, this teaches me for drinking Monsanto juice, lord knows how much glyphosate I drank with this XD.
I really have to get better at resisting these evil multinationals and their Halloween stuff.
MUST RESIST FROM NOW ON!
Also, this smells really dubiously chemically, which never bodes well, I can't believe I drank this stuff!

The skies were pretty post-apocalyptic all day, although not as badly as in the UK. It was because of both the forest fires in Portugal and the remnants of hurricane Ophelia.
It's crazy how much this kind of weather afflicts us all.
And there should be a climate lesson in there for people, but I fear that that'll just fly by XD.
Anyway, Charlotte shoots with a Nikon, and her camera is really good at catching the post-apocalyptic properties, even more so than the human eye. Hat: asos

I do NOT recommend getting essence liquid lipsticks. I don't know about those not in the Halloween range (Bootiful nights), but I wouldn't chance those either. I initially heard good things about them from beauty guru's and influencers on youtube so figured that I'd give them a go, and urgh, big mistake.
They are ultra drying and it takes FOREVER to get a nice, even application. You're far better off getting a Sephora cream lip stain if you don't want to spend a lot of money!
The only thing these essence liquids are good for is bodypaint, because they are SO HARD to remove. So if you need to do a pattern on your skin that legit has to last all day and/or night, go for these.
That said, considering how hard it is to get them off, I wouldn't suggest using these around your eyes, because the skin around your eyes is too sensitive for the amount of rubbing that will be necessary to get this stuff off.

Charlotte and I tried the Glamglow x Sonic the Hedgehog Gravitymud.
Let me tell you this, I am NEVER going near another Glamglow product. The day we put it on it was all fun and games and good times.
The next day, the entire area the mask covered is WRECKED.
Even on Sunday, when I post this, things have gradually gotten worse.
Thank god my GP (bless her) saw an incident like this coming and gave me a prescription for a specialised cream should something like this happen.
But come the fuck on, I am NEVER getting another Glamglow product EVER again!
NEVER EVER!
The blue Sephora mask I tried is love, this one, what a nightmare. That's going straight into my worst of 2017 for sure!

This is a photo of all three of my Too Faced Melted Matte liquid lipsticks.
Left to right: Gingerbread Man, Naughty by Nature and Evil Twin.
Gingerbread Man is this year's Christmas release, Naughty by Nature and Evil Twin are both part of the regular Melted Matte collection.
I wouldn't recommend Evil Twin though, the other two's formula is amazing, but this one is rather hard to work with and not as comfortable to wear.

Another sewing project rather than make-up because my skin is still suffering from the Glamglow incident.
Yesterday's entry was pre-short, so that wasn't an issue, but I didn't have anything organised for today, so it's fashion instead!
I'm really loving otome kei lately, because it is so quirky and cheerful. And easy to mix with steampunk, mori kei or dolly kei, which are all styles I adore.
