Here be dinosaurs
Yesterday, Bert and I were lucky enough to be able to visit Expo Dino World before it officially opens this Saturday (May 20th) and we had an awesome time at the exhibit!
There was an afternoon organised for first the press (so pictures could be taken whilst no one else but other press was around) and VIPs (that started half an hour later than the press event). As we both love dinosaurs, and dinosaurs are pop culture AF, I of course happily accepted the kind invitation we got to attend. I feel so grateful we get invited to cool things like these, because dinosaurs, hell yes! :D
I wrote a full review for The Gatehouse, which you can read here, and there will of course be a piece and a photo page in the next edition of BCM.
This is simply a post on my personal blog for those that also like dinosaurs and want to find out a little more about the expo.
Even though I think that it’s mostly geared for kids, I do really feel that they added enough elements (provided you don’t mind reading) to keep adults entertained as well.
And a lot of stuff that’s around is simply all ages fun, which is always a good thing.
Both Bert and I really enjoyed visiting the expo, and seeing 60+ dinosaur animatronics, fossils, historical sketches from digs, etc.
I kinda regret not taking photos in the photo set-up in the kid’s zone though (like I said: plenty of all ages things), because those were really pretty cool.
But hey, I got to visit when it was nice and quiet, got to see dinosaurs (they had dilophosauri! My fave!) and that was all the fun I needed really! :)
I would definitely recommend visiting this expo if you really LOVE dinosaurs or have children that are into dinosaurs. Make sure to check the website for practical info such as opening times and ticket prices and such if you’re interested in going yourself! :)
You can see all Bert and I’s photos here.

I love this! The pictures came out amazing!!! Seems like the people who curate the expo did a really good job, I'm kinda jealous hehe. Glad you got to go when people didn't ruin your shots tho :D
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, I'm glad you like it!
DeleteThey really did, you can see they put a lot of thought in the presentation. I do think that it would have been a lot harder to get nice photos if it had been full of people, so extra kudos to the organisers to let the press in on their own to shoot images :).
